The La Torcaza Estate farm is run with a high commitment to safeguarding the environment and benefiting the community. Our coffee fields are interspersed with forested areas in order to preserve the diversity of the ecosystem. The farm is situated near two beautiful lakes, the highest alpine lakes in Panama and the fifth highest in Central America. These lakes have been declared a protected refuge. The Janson brothers are working with environmental groups to help protect the rare aquatic birds and colorful butterflies that make the area such a lovely place.
